Identifying and evaluating the status of Persian Twitter influencers

Abstract

The emergence of the Internet and the emergence of social networks brought the world into a new era that completely changed the equations and structure of human life. On the one hand, human social interactions changed and human communication became more and more flexible, and on the other hand, an ocean of data was created through social networks. Recognizing influential users and specifying political approaches and other details is the product of studying and identifying the activism and position of Twitter influencers. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to analyze the activism and position of Persian Twitter influencers. This research has analyzed the raw data of Twitter social network using data mining technique. In fact, the raw data was extracted from the Twitter social network, and after refining the raw data, it was converted into structured data and the data was analyzed. The results of this research are based on three components: function, political approach and following. The findings of this research indicate that mainly users between 20 and 30 thousand followers have a major contribution in various functions except the function of a religious figure, and the major contribution of the category of followers is more than 200 thousand in the function of the media. The opposition political approach is the dominant approach in all categories except for the 20-30 thousand category. Also, the main agency of the opposition political approach is in various functions such as culture and media activists, science and technology figures, media, immoral and celebrities. On the other hand, the main activism is the fundamentalist approach in the two functions of religious figures and politicians.
