This bilateral relations is mentioned as Science and Technology Diplomacy in the scientific and political literature. Codification of science and technology diplomacy policies and use of oppourtunities in order to enhance and develop science and technology and also achieving political goals of our country is only possible with enough recognition of STD aspects and also other countries performance in STD. Therefore, this study is tried to introduce the concept of science and technolgy diplomacy and to evaluate the performance of other countries in STD. United States of America, Germany, Japan, England, France and Islamic Republic of Iran are studied in this research. While there are similaritie, differences and initiatives are shown in the selected countries STD experiences. Obviously, identifying this initiatives will promote Islamic Reppubic of Iran optimal science and technology diplomacy policies. امروزه روابط سیاسی و دیپلماتیک میان دولت ها به منظور تقویت علم و فناوری و همچنین روابط علمی و فناوری بین کشورها، به قصد بهبود روابط دیپلماتیک، در حال افزایش است. در متون علمی و ادبیات دیپلماتیک از این روابط دوسویه با عنوان دیپلماسی علم و فناوری یاد می شود. تدوین دقیق و کارآمد خط مشی های این بخش و تلاش برای استفاده از فرصت های پیش رو در راستای استفاده از این مفهوم نسبتاً نوظهور با هدف تقویت و توسعۀ علم و فناوری و همچنین تحقق اهداف دیپلماتیک کشور جز با شناخت کافی از ابعاد و عملکرد سایر کشورها در این زمینه میسر نخواهد بود. بر این اساس، در پژوهش حاضر تلاش شده است ضمن معرفی مفهوم دیپلماسی علم و فناوری و ابعاد متنوع آن، به بررسی عملکرد سایر کشورها در چگونگی کاربست دیپلماسی علم و فناوری پرداخته شود. آمریکا، آلمان، ژاپن، انگلیس، فرانسه و جمهوری اسلامی ایران کشورهای ی هستند که در این پژوهش به بررسی آن ها پرداخته شده است. ضمن وجود اشتراکات، تفاوت ها و ابتکار عمل هایی نیز در تجربه های کشورهای مختلف مشاهده می شود. بی تردید شناسایی این ابتکار عمل ها بر پیشبرد بهینۀ خط مشی دیپلماسی علم و فناوری ایران اثرگذار است. https://stpl.ristip.sharif.ir/article_1461_f526b76e5625255cdced9d70c1bb24aa.pdf
